Life Update | Low-Waste Progress & Future Plans

Hello, everyone! It has been completely crazy for the past several days since Halloween and I figured it was time for me to get back on track with all of you before Thanksgiving rolls in this Thursday. So let’s get into it, shall we?

For starters, my Halloween wasn’t great. Thanks to my parents screaming at me about something I did (which was entirely my fault), they ruined my mood and I didn’t pass out candy to the children in the neighborhood.

I vowed that it will never happen again and as a way to cheer up my spirits again, I did a solo night out for my birthday. It was peaceful and fun, to say the least!

On top of all of that, I managed to sell two items on Ebay and earned some extra cash to stock away into my emergency fund! I have a goal in mind and I plan on achieving it before the year is over, so there’s that!

But what I mostly want to share with you is my progress on reducing waste and adopting a low-waste lifestyle!

I have an addiction to buying bulk ingredients and since I started looking into my stash, I’ve tapped into my inner “mixtress” and made beauty remedies of my own!

My first experiment was a face wash consisting of only liquid castile soap, raw honey, apricot kernel oil and Vitamin E. It lathers great and leaves my face clean! But my skin still feels a little tight, so I have to use my ACV toner afterwards.

I think it was a success and I’ve moved on to making my own DIY facial masks! I usually post my recipes not just here, but on my YouTube channel as well. You should check it out if you haven’t!

That’s all I have to share. Have a great Thanksgiving and try to stay safe during Black Friday!
